Home visits

Should you require to see a doctor but are unable through sickness or injury to get to the surgery, arrangements can be made for a doctor to visit you at home.  Generally home visits are for patients who are housebound but there my be times when, through illness, you are unable to come to the surgery.  If that is so give as much information as you can over the phone and a Doctor will either visit or, if more appropriate, telephone you.

Children and babies can be seen and assessed more effectively at the surgery and can usually be safely brought to the surgery if unwell.

Home visits are vital to some of our patients but do take a lot of time so we would ask you to be mindful of the above advice before discussing a visit from a Doctor with our staff.

The surgery can be contacted on 01563 522413 from 8.30am.

Please call as early as possible when a house visit may be required.

Requests for home visits made after 11.00am will be assessed by the doctor on-call prior to a visit being made.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

If, for any reason, you are unable to keep an appointment, please contact the surgery and let us know. This will then let us reallocate the appointment to someone else. Failure to do so simply denies others access to the doctors.

For those patients who repeatedly miss appointments without notification, the practice reserves the right to take action.

To cancel your appointment:

  • phone us on 01563 522413, Monday to Friday from 8.30am
  • Use the "Cancel an appointment online" link at the top of this page
  • reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message
